I'm a planetary scientist (Solar System astronomy; an odd combination of astronomy, physics, chemistry, geology, meteorology/atmospheres, and occasionally biology and paleontology) working primarily in science education. I am particularly interested in the effect of general education courses on teacher preparation.
One of my interests in science education is using our resources well -- particularly our time. I started a prototype Astronomer's Education Notebook to be an overview, a group memory, and a place to find the sort of information that's usually communicated only through the oral tradition. (This is becoming obsolete, but I'll keep it for now.) I've also started to put some hands-on activities online.
Other interests vary on a timescale shorter than the update frequency of this site.
I've compiled some hints on planning an html site, now that I've done two (mine and Adler's prototype). It's out of date as far as technology is concerned, but the issues in designing a site to suit users may still apply.
